Emma Farrell of XanderTrixie is a Malta based Contemporary Fine Artist who expresses her love for bright colours as well as pale tones and vibrancy through a range of mediums, predominantly presenting themselves as acrylic on large canvases.
Originally from Ireland; Emma holds a 4 year BA Hons Degree from the prestigious Limerick School of Art & Design.
She now calls the sunny; bright mediterranean Island of Malta (& Gozo) her home.
As a child, large art sets filled with a bold range of acrylic and watercolour paints, wax crayons and bold markers were always what Emma requested at Christmas time. Her free time within her youth consisted of hours at the family table making pieces of artwork.
Aiming to attract a youthful audience into her artwork; Emma expresses herself through responding to her love for large, bold, present-day visuals which, ideally, upon completion, would beautifully sit within the white walls of a modern Mediterranean home; or perhaps; juxtapositioned against a traditional stone wall; within a treasured House of Character.
Emma believes in using her art as a medium for expression; using a bold mix of no ‘set’ style; but rather allowing the piece to unpredictably guide her and her natural artistic intuition to its finial denouement.
Her Artist Studio sits proudly within the Eastern hilltop village of Gharghur, Malta.
